Porkbun beleives they own the domain, not you!
They may lock your domain without any chance to update in case something goes wrong. In a bad situation, you would expect the registrar to be on your side but Porkbun is just against you.
Porkbun has excellent domain name prices, free WHOIS privacy, and free SSL certificates. You won't find that at most of the big name registrars. You can try their hosting for free and if you decide to keep it, it's only $24.00 per year. Try finding that elsewhere. They also offer almost any domain name extension you might want.
And they don't jack the price up high for renewals like most domain name registrars. Above all, they don't play games like ionos who adds things you didn't request. They are, hands down, the best company to buy a domain name from. I have used them for many years for many domain names without ever having a problem. They even offer great phone support if you have a question. And they are also just plain fun.
I absolutely recommend Porkbun!

I won over 400 domains, so I know a little something about registrars... With that said, Porkbun is definetely my favorite. They have so many 90% off sales all the time that you don't even need coupon codes.
My advice: Use Porkbun when you first buy a new domain and then transfer it to Cloudflare if you plan on keeping it. Why? Porkbun has the lowest prices when you first register a domain, but Cloudflare has the lowest prices when you renew a domain. The problem is that Cloudflare doesn't support all of the new TLDs yet, so be patient.
Porkbun is a great company. The customer service and support is EXCELLENT. They offer many other options other than a domain. Safe and secure transactions. I will always buy from Porkbun.
It just has all the required features, the best price so you don't have to be searching for deals or transfers every renewal, all required controls available on the panel, changes applied instantly. What else should we ask???
Look, I cannot say enough nice things about this company. Every interaction I have had with them has been positive. They're straightforward with their language as well as their policies. Their prices are competitive (fantastic! but don't let them know). Often, the support documentation is enough to help me, and when it's not, there have always been helpful folks I can reach out to for additional assistance.
For perspective, as an IT professional with 25 years of experience - mostly in higher education and government contracting - I have dealt with a lot of 'vendors' throughout my career. I spent nearly ten years in roles where I was the primary vendor manager for the enterprise. I've spoken with literally thousands of companies and tens of thousands of people (not to mention dozens of poorly implemented, automated phone systems). Porkbun is easily among the top 5 companies I've ever worked with because it's just pleasant to do business with them.
Wow. It's so easy to get "stuck in the rut" of another registrar just because you used them before. DON'T. Switch to PorkBun . . . for EVERY reason.

Everything is easy to follow, works quickly and notifications are helpful. The service itself works (no downtime or lag experienced)... so much so that I haven't really needed to get in touch with support :)

An odly satysfying experience indeed. Great prices, easy to use, pigs everywhere, none
of the usual unecessary bloating, ads, flashy here, pop-up there. Nobody wants bloated pigs.. Simple, want, pay, get. And the admin console is pretty good too.
You cant always get the domain you want, but if you try sometime, you might just get need: a 2 letter TLD for 1.99$.
